About Me

Hi, I'm Kim Brown and I am BBD Graphics. I create brochures, billboards & vehicle wraps, build props, ads & websites, art direct video & photography shoots, and design logos, catalogs & one-of-a-kind cards. I've done most of these things for ad agencies, publishing groups, school systems, the military & high-tech companies, and retail & service organizations. I have a bunch of ADDYs and I've helped other people win a bunch, too.

You may wonder, if I'm a Me, then why do I keep making references to We? Well, it's because it's not that often that I complete a job solely on my own. Most projects require some combination of printers, sign makers, illustrators, copy writers, photographers, media buyers… the list goes on. Also, I have served as the Art Director for two other local companies, Fantastic Plastic Entertainment and The Driscoll Group for many, many years now. Thus sometimes They are a part of the We, too, see?

So, how have I managed to do all this stuff? Well, I'm old. How old? Old enough to have started out doing layouts on a drafting board. Old enough to have saved my first computer designs to floppy disks. Yeah, that old. So I'm not exactly the hippest kid on the block anymore. But, ya know, I'm okay with that.

Why? Because I have experience. Lots and lots of experience, along with an intimate relationship with long hours, hard work, and deadlines. I've stumbled over lots of road blocks and learned what to do and what NOT to do. I appreciate the importance of being tenacious with long, fiddly projects that take lots of organizing and planning. (And I kinda like those projects best!) I understand that sometimes things just need to be done RIGHT NOW. I know what kind of questions need to be asked to take a project from ideation to completion.

Yup, I know stuff. Maybe its stuff that can help you out with your stuff.
